Gridnab Privacy Policy

Developer: VNCNT Labs · Effective date: October 17, 2026 · Version covered: 1.0 (free) · Contact: hello@vncntlabs.com

This policy covers the browser extension VNCNT Gridnab: One-Click Table and List Scraper for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Gridnab turns tables and lists on the web page you are viewing into rows you can download or copy. Everything happens inside your browser. VNCNT Labs never receives the pages you use it on, the rows you collect or anything else you do with the extension, and version 1.0 makes no network requests of its own.

1. When it runs and what it can access

Gridnab runs only when you click its toolbar icon (or press Alt+Shift+R) on a tab. Your browser then gives it temporary access to that tab only ("activeTab"). Gridnab reads the page's structure and visible text, link addresses and image addresses to find tables and repeating lists, and outlines them on the page. It does not read cookies, saved passwords, your browsing history or other websites' storage, and it does not run in the background.

For collecting several pages of a list, or for scheduled re-runs (Pro, see §4), your browser asks you to allow access to that one website. You can refuse. Sites you allow are listed in Gridnab's options, where you can remove them, as you can in the browser's extension settings.

2. What is stored, and where

Uninstalling the extension removes all of it.

3. Exports

CSV, Excel (XLSX) and Google Sheets-ready files are created on your computer and saved through your browser's normal download, where you choose. "Google Sheets-ready" means a file or clipboard copy you import yourself. Gridnab does not connect to your Google account. Excel files are made with the bundled SheetJS library, on your device.

4. Scheduled re-runs (Pro, when available)

If you schedule a recipe, Gridnab asks for the browser's "alarms" permission. While your browser is open, it opens the recipe's page in a background tab at the interval you chose, collects the rows, saves them on your computer as in §2 and closes the tab. Nothing is sent anywhere. Turning the schedule off removes the alarm.

5. Your responsibility

Gridnab collects only what is already displayed on pages you open. Please collect only data you are allowed to use, follow each website's terms of service and robots rules, keep a reasonable delay between pages, and do not collect personal data without a lawful basis. Gridnab is not intended for gathering personal information or contact details.

6. Pro licence (when Pro launches)

Version 1.0 has no paid features and no licence checks. When Pro launches, purchases and licence keys will be handled by Lemon Squeezy (our reseller and merchant of record). To activate Pro, the extension sends your licence key and an instance name to Lemon Squeezy's licence API, and re-checks it at most once a day. No page content or collected rows are ever sent. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy applies to your purchase. This section will be updated before Pro is enabled.

7. What we don't do

8. Children

Gridnab is a productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13.

9. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect in the extension. Questions: hello@vncntlabs.com.
